A Lovely Day In April!

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie!  Cam and I have had fun showing you the gardens for the past couple of days.  Mom and Dad have been putting a lot of work in lately, but not over the weekend for some reason.  Friday, it got over 90, then the Kansas winds kicked into high gear, then the temps started falling, then there were a bunch of really bad storms that missed us, then Saturday ...

The view to the west!

Yep! The view out back! Isn't that great?!!? When things started to settle down a bit, I thought Mom and I should stroll around out front.

"What a lovely day!"

It was so nice!  The winds were still blowing, the windchill was somewhere in the teens, and a light snow was falling!  Who could ask for more?  Oh.  Yeah.  Well, Mom needed a break from yard work, anyway!

Here's a short video. If you look to the left of the flower pot, you'll see some rocks and a clump of greenish stuff. That is - or was - the Grecian Windflowers we showed you. Hey, they're hearty; they're already looking good again! Anyway, let's go look around a bit!

What a lovely day, indeed! Is Kansas great or what?!?!

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  1. That looks a lot like our Saturday evening into Sunday morning. It was great in our opinion too. For some reason Mom thinks today is a much better day.

  7. Miss Maggie, We humans know your love for all things white-especially if it is falling from the sky, but I want to ask you if you could just keep the snow in your area. We are very tired of it and the high winds the plains get. It is cold and windy and we are ready for warm spring weather.
